In a recent episode of PartnerTalks, Rick McCutcheon sat down with Mohamad Basheer Alhamwi, co-founder and CEO of HA Consultancy, to discuss how the Dubai-based firm is transforming complex field service sectors like pest control, waste management, and sewage operations using the combined power of Resco and Business Central.
“These sectors may not be glamorous,” said McCutcheon, “but these are the types of solutions that Microsoft wants ISVs to build on top of Business Central.”

Field Service Innovation: Where Resco Meets Business Central
HA Consultancy specializes in delivering operationally tailored, mobile-first solutions for industries often overlooked in the digital landscape. By combining Resco’s offline-first mobile capabilities with Business Central’s robust ERP backend, Basheer’s team delivers tightly integrated solutions that handle everything from contract management to invoicing and routing.
“We looked at the market and found gaps in pest control for customizable, mobile-friendly solutions,” said Basheer. “And we figured out that Resco has the right tools to build our solutions on top of it.”
The solution is intuitive and technician-friendly, reducing digital friction and enabling seamless task execution with just a few taps. “(Technicians) don’t want to be busy with the technology,” Basheer noted. “They want to focus on their work. They need something that is really easy for them on the roads. That’s where Resco fits in.”
Waste and Sewage: The Next Digital Frontier
Following the success of their pest control platform, HA Consultancy has expanded into waste management, particularly in Saudi Arabia, where demand for smart routing, truckload tracking, and IoT sensor integration is growing. These verticals are notoriously difficult to digitize due to their complex invoicing models and operational diversity.
Basheers says HA Consultancy has developed full verticals for waste management, including integration with smart tanks and vehicle sensors. Sewage management is next. HA Consultancy is currently developing an application to help companies track trips, calculate tank volumes, and optimize collection workflows. Basheer says the area has few purpose-built solutions on the market.
Resco Next and the Power of Networking
Basheer is a regular attendee of the Resco Next conference, recently held in Spain. He sees it as a critical opportunity not just to discover new platform capabilities like Inspections 2.0, but also to connect with other partners and ISVs.
“It’s always good to know about what’s happening in Resco,” he said. “But the most important thing is connecting with people.”
The upcoming release of Inspections 2.0 has particularly excited Basheer. “It will help many industries to adapt. I already have a lot of ideas about how it can be implemented.”
A Model for Microsoft ISVs
McCutcheon says that HA Consultancy represents everything Microsoft wants to see in its ISV ecosystem: nimble, customer-driven firms solving real-world problems with scalable tools. By focusing on operational excellence in underserved markets and leveraging low-code flexibility where it counts, Basheer and his team are creating blueprints for industry-specific digital transformation.
“Microsoft won’t build these niche solutions, but Partners like you will,” McCutcheon told him.
As Resco and Business Central evolve, expect HA Consultancy to stay at the forefront, quietly revolutionizing the essential services that keep cities running.
